Life Baffles Me

Washing instructions tag on Andy's reversible winter hat:

Machine wash cold. Gentle cycle. Separately or with like colors. Inside out.

What? What's inside out on a reversible hat? The side that I like the least on the outside? Is this a riddle?

(Cross-posted to Our Clothes Speak)

Coming soon, a post and some pictures about The Raggedys' second annual apple picking trip. Last year's trip was right around when I first started blogging.

Sadly enough, there are no nearby apple orchards to Chicago anymore. It used to be an annual outing for us.

Hope you enjoyed the picking and the apples!

That's excellent (reversible hats.)

Frumhouse, but there are nearby strawberry fields (somewhere in Illinois. My neighbors went...)

You're supposed to slice the hat in two, along the edge. Then re-stich it together so that both of the "outside" possibilities are on the inside. Then, after the wash, you're supposed to repeat the process to make the hat normal again.

Duh.

That's one of those space/time paradoxes which if we could figure out would allow us to travel back in time and take pictures with the dinosaurs.

Which would totally rock. I hope you figure it out.

Aww, apple picking is such a great thing to do in the fall. I used to go berry picking with a friend and her dad. When I see him (the dad), he still jokes about taking us on a berry picking trip again (we're both in college now).

Can't wait to see the pics!

Haha!! That's why we just use the "whatever we think" method. It sometimes works out :P

I am still sitting here . . holding the hat . . staring at the tag . . and trying to figure it out.

RaggedyMom, maybe you should put the hat on -- it will work as your "thinking cap".

Yes, another one for the "What Were They Thinking?" Files!
